Join us for a panel discussion on “Planning for Life After Diagnosis”, hosted by The Arc of Ohio in collaboration with The Autism Society of Central Ohio. We will discuss the steps to take once your child has received his or her diagnosis, no matter the age, and help guide you through the process. Among the topics on the agenda, we will hear about first steps, the differences between an educational and a medical diagnosis, options for therapy and schooling, and funding choices.
We will have a parent discuss her perspective and experience, as well as speakers from The Ohio State Nisonger Center, The Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps (CMH), The Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (FCBDD), School Choice Ohio, The Ohio Center for Autism and Low incidence (OCALI).
