Afternoon Sessions
1:00p – 2:00p Marketplace Services On Seen – Michael Lanese & Randy SmithThe single greatest challenge for individuals/families and independent providers is connecting. One needs support and the other needs a method to connect with someone to support. The Arc of Ohio has partnered with On Seen to develop a software app to support these connections as needed. Free Choice of Provider is a cornerstone of our Waivers, yet it seems impossible, at times, to find one another. We believe this will help individuals, families, independent providers and Service and Support Administrators use technology in a simple, effective way to make real free choice a reality.
2:00p – 3:00p Ohio Department of Medicaid Ohio RISE – Marisa Weisel & Kelly SmithChildren with complex behavioral health and multi-system needs, who often also carry the label of developmental disability, have not always had the support they required. Leading staff from the Ohio Department of Medicaid will explain Ohio RISE (Resilience through Integrates Systems & Excellence), a new managed care program and how those we support can access services often previously unobtainable. The Arc of Ohio, family members and adults who experienced these needs as children have been integral to the program’s development which began accepting thousands of Ohioans on July 1, 2022.
Continuing Education Credits are pending with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
